3G Apple iPhone Versus Google G1
Filed Under Communication, Electronics, Gadgets | Leave a Comment

The T-Mobile G1 is not sexy. The G1’s bulky and non-symmetrical design makes it difficult to use the keyboard. The iPhone 3G easily wins this round with its super sleek touch-screen and all-round sex appeal. The G1 is easier to navigate. One can customize the various panels with one’s favorite apps and the QWERTY keyboard is a boon for those who like physical buttons. The iPhone on the other hand is really intuitive. One doesn’t need a user’s manual to figure out how it works. The ergonomics on the G1 is weird, and the overall navigation is better on the iPhone.
The G1 has a lot more features to offer than the iPhone 3G. Not only does the G1 have the typical multimedia and high-speed options, it also has certain features the iPhone doesn’t, like MMS and voice dialing. The iPhone 3G trumps the G1 when it comes to multimedia and Web browsing. Of course, the iPhone 3G also has excellent music and video players, thanks to the iPod-like functionality. iPhone 3G has a multi-touch screen while the G1 just has a touch screen.

Need for good PA systems
Filed Under Electronics, Technology | Leave a Comment
A pa system is used by people when they require distributing any sound to a larger audience. It is needed by a public speaker, a DJ or to announce something to the whole venue. The PA system is an electronic amplification device that uses mikes, loudspeakers, mixers and amplifiers to give out louder sound.
It is required at the schools and discotheques where pre-recorded music is played. Sound reinforcement systems are also a kind of PA systems but they use better technology and have more capabilities.
The PA system can be a smaller one as used in school auditoriums etc. these provide 50 -200 watts power. The amplifiers are available to amplify sounds between 50V to 100V.
Larger pa systems can connect the whole building. These are also used for telephone paging such as VOIP or PBX, PA over IP which uses Ethernet network to broadcast and long line PA.
There the need for PA systems has increased over the years and so has its capabilities and configuration.

Basics of PA systems
Filed Under Electronics, Technology | Leave a Comment
The PA systems or the Public address systems are one of the most important systems if one is performing, arranging or addressing any event. The PA systems have changed a lot since its earlier versions and now the latest pa systems are the marvels of science.
The pa systems have some basic equipment to bring out the sounds in higher volume. As the air is a medium of sound transfer, pa systems also use it to transmit sound. The other equipments of pa systems are PA mixer, microphones, DI boxes, sound processors, effects units, amplifiers and loudspeakers.
The pa systems may cause some problems if not installed properly. The major problem is the unnatural screeching sound that comes in the middle of the program and ruins it. To avoid it one should use the cordless mike at an optimum distance from your lips this will ensure proper frequency and the sound quality will be better.
