The LC connectors or Lucent Connectors are small fiber optic connectors. They use 1.25 mm ferrule. It is a single mode and has high quality thus favored for high performance. They are found in two models- behind the wall (BTW) and Unibody jumper connector. These are cost effective and can give better as well as consistent result.
The LC connector has RJ style, single piece design with PC finish. There are removable clips for simplex and duplex connectors. These are half the size of other standard connectors.
These can be used for telecommunication, LAN, cable TV, premise distribution etc.
There are many benefits of LC connectors. These multiply the density. Give high repeatability, can maintain the reception and transmission direction and can up keep the optical contact. It also reduces transmission troubles and minimize cross connects. The overhead cost decreases manifolds.
