A computer running slow is something that a lot of people have experienced when handling their machine. Many factors may result in computers running slow or failing to respond altogether. There may be harmful factors that may lead to this serious problem.
Downloading of materials from the internet may cause the computer to slow down. The common items that may result in computer slowness include music, pictures and even movies. The process of downloading these materials can sometimes be affected by other malicious factors like viral attack. It is always advisable to clear these downloaded items ever so often so that they do not affect the speed of the machine.
Other factors like opening emails with attachments, cookies or surfing on suspect websites which may sometimes contain malicious programs may have dire consequences on the computer as these programs are known to slow the general speed of the computer.
